This briefing examines pregnant and breast-feeding women’s access to nutrition amidst the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka. Women’s purchasing power has reduced due to the increased cost of food and government funded programs to uplift maternal nutrition have been impacted. This has resulted in nutrition taking a back seat, impacting both the quality and quantity of food intake.
